The design of C++0x

Abstract
We have a draft for a revised ISO C++ standard, C++0x. I present the background for C++, its aims, a bit about the standards process (with opinions), some of the guiding design principles (with tiny code examples), an overview of extensions compared to C++98, and a case study. The case study support for concurrent programming (memory model, threads, locks, futures).

BIO
Bjarne Stroustrup er kendt som designeren af programmeringssproget C++. Bjarne er nu College of Engineering Chair in Computer Science Professor at Texas A&M University, men er også AT&T Fellow ved AT&T Labs, hvor han har arbejdet i en længere årrække. Bjarne er datalog fra Aarhus Universitet, 1975, og har en ph.d. fra Cambridge Universitetet, 1979.
