Jerker Hammarberg

I have an MSc in applied physics and electrical engineering, specialised in mechatronics and computer science from Linköping University in Sweden.

In addition, I have studied French in Aix-en-Provence, musicology and geology in Uppsala and business economics in Copenhagen.

My track record includes a versatile range of assignments, such as the development of a Java refactoring browser, research into formal verification, FPGA design for fast motion control systems as well as programming and test of control systems for rockets and autonomous helicopters.

My professional focus is on embedded systems, especially signal processing and data communication. It is important to me that a research and development project has a commercial objective and that the needs and requirements of a potential user are in focus when a new system is to be developed.

  • MoVeTracker – Commercialisation of a system that is a further development of the now completed MISOSAM project. MoVeTracker is a system that tracks vehicles and enables the drivers to see each other’s position on a monitor inside the cabin. Among other things, we work with mobile Internet and publish-subscribe technologies where we combine several techniques to obtain stable and reliable data communication.
  • Airfield Monitor – Development of an optical friction sensor for runways. The system uses state-of-the-art signal processing technologies to measure the so-called friction index on the basis of data from optical sensors. The friction index is a value for the how slippery the runway surface is.
  • Recognition of bird sounds – Investigation of technologies for automatic identification of birds based on their sounds. We work with the Cognitive Systems Research Group at the Technical University of Denmark and investigate technologies such as neural networks and hidden Markov models, which are also used for speech recognition.
  • Communication technologies for Internet of Things – We follow the development of wired and wireless communication for the Internet of the future, to which more and more objects are being connected.

I am an experienced software developer and master the entire process of complex technical projects from identification of needs and project planning to implementation, test, delivery and maintenance.

My professional knowledge is focused on embedded systems, and my core competences lie within these fields:

Object-oriented development, in particular C++, Java and C#
Signal processing
Data communication and protocol implementation

Software is part of every IT system or product integrated with IT. We provide our partners with core competences within a number of the latest techniques and methods for software development.

We work with the development of software architectures for dynamic and flexible integration of devices and mobile systems. We have extensive experience with object-oriented programming and modelling, and we work with methods and techniques for software development – including mobile applications, programming languages, algorithms, data structures and virtualisation, embedded systems and web technologies. ...læs mere...read more
